Pre-Crisis Care for First Responders
Why talk about pre-crisis care when nobody is more skilled in offering care better than a first responder? And yet the very ones who are offering the support – the first responders themselves – often fall through the cracks when the pressure builds and the challenges become intolerable.
Post-crisis programs and systems abound in these organizations but these services often arrive on the scene too late, something a first responder never wants to be.
It Doesn’t Have to Be That Way
The missing piece in the first responder support system, that connects to – and augments – post-crisis support, is pre-crisis care. And now there is a simple way to provide this in your organization.
For the past decade at Kalliergo, we have been developing the LIFELINES™ Pre-Crisis Support for First Responders Program. This 10-hour program provides participants with the tools, experience and education for building a pre-crisis culture in their organizations. One participant said, “I do believe this is the missing start of peer support, crisis resilience and crisis recovery.”
In an industry that is, by necessity, reactive, in a world that has lost “community” in its truest sense of the word, it is not surprising that this piece is only being offered now. Community building is not team-building (you likely already are a team), it’s something deeper, more cohesive and real.
Do Not Leave This Stone Unturned!
The best way to understand the value of the LIFELINES Program is, of course, to take it but in lieu of that, read what participants said after they took it. And book an appointment with Lori to see a more detailed overview of the program.
Why let post-crisis responses be the only tools in your toolkit when there is something new and innovative available to you that will forever change the way your team interacts and supports one another?
