Community is Healing

A Community is Healing Place

When I came across a quote by Albert Einstein today, I thought; how true. We do feel alone, far too many of us, and far too often. The pandemic only exposed this truth; it did not create a state of loneliness in our world.

There is a deeper reason for our loneliness. Einstein said,

“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

We widen our “Circles of compassion” when we build community.

A community is a healing and liberating place. It is a place of authentic connection where you are seen, heard, acknowledged, and valued for exactly who you are. A community is a place where you are able to relax and be exactly who you are.

When you’ve done the work to build community together this wonderful dynamic of relationships you now enjoy can help heal the damages caused by the imperfect childhoods we have all had.

Community building is love in action.

This article, too, describes the healing power of community.

Let’s widen our circles of compassion; let’s build Community.

I can show you how.
